Summer Student Program 2026
Following our successful practice in previous years, the Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center will organize the Summer Student Program this year in a hybrid format. This means that students will have the opportunity to work on their projects on-site at the CAMK institute.
Accommodation may be available in Warsaw dormitories, subject to availability. The exact form of collaboration is determined by the project supervisor and specified in the project description. For on-site participation, the supervisor is expected to be available in person. An online-only format is also possible.
We invite applications from 2nd-, 3rd-, and 4th-year undergraduate students in physics or astronomy. In exceptional cases, we may also accept younger students and students from technical universities.
The duration of each individual program should be 4–6 weeks. Suggested project topics are listed below. If you are interested in participating in the online-only format, please contact the selected scientist directly via the email address provided to arrange the details.
For on-site participation, please first contact the supervisor to agree on the exact timing and duration of the project. Then submit your application, including the supervisor’s name, the planned dates of the project, and your academic CV.
The application deadline is May 31, 2026.
Successful candidates will be notified by email.
Please note that on-site participation is limited to EU citizens only.
