Presentation Guidelines

During hybrid meetings we use the Zoom platform for remote participation. Presenters joining on site or remotely should ensure their materials are compatible with screen sharing via Zoom.

For best reliability and visual consistency, we strongly recommend preparing presentations in PDF format. PDF files minimize font substitution issues, layout shifts, and resolution problems, ensuring that slides are displayed exactly as intended on both local projectors and remote screens.

Our lecture room is equipped with two projectors:

  • NEC PE506UL – auxiliary projector

  • Epson EB-L730U – main projector

The primary display device is the Epson EB-L730U, a professional laser projector designed for high-quality presentations and scientific content. Its key parameters include:

  • FullHD resolution (1920 × 1080), providing sharp text rendering and excellent detail, particularly important for plots, tables, and equations

  • High brightness (7000 lumens), ensuring clear visibility even in well-lit rooms

  • Laser light source, offering stable brightness, accurate color reproduction, and long maintenance-free operation

  • 16:9 aspect ratio, well suited for academic presentations and data-driven slides

  • Excellent contrast and color uniformity, beneficial for images, spectra, and visualizations

When preparing slides, please take the FullHD (16:9) aspect ratio into account to avoid unwanted scaling or black borders.

To ensure clear audio for both in-room attendees and remote participants, the room is equipped with a set of professional Shure microphones. These include:

  • 3 × Shure PG58 handheld microphones, suitable for speakers and audience Q&A

  • 1 × Shure P31 headset microphone, ideal for presenters who prefer hands-free speaking

This audio setup provides flexibility for single or multiple speakers, and helps maintain intelligible sound during hybrid sessions.

This configuration ensures consistent, high-quality presentation and audio experience both for the local audience and for participants joining remotely via Zoom.
