DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Bogumiła Świeżewska\, Sebastian Trojanowski (Astr
oCeNT & NCBJ)\n\nWelcome to the inaugural WARP (Warsaw AstRo-Physics) meet
ing!\nWARP is a new initiative designed to integrate the Warsaw research c
 ommunity active in (astro)particle physics\, astrophysics\, astronomy\, co
smology\, and related fields. The meetings aim to accelerate collaboration
and scientific exchange within our community by bringing together invited
renowned international researchers\, distinguished local experts\, and ea
rly-career scientists to discuss the most pressing issues and recent break
throughs in these fields.\nThe First WARP Meeting\nOur first meeting will
focus on cosmological anomalies\, with a special emphasis on the current c
hallenges and tensions in the measurement of the expansion rate of the Uni
verse.\nWe are honored to host Dr. Eleonora Di Valentino (University of Sh
effield) for our inaugural keynote colloquium. Dr. Di Valentino is a leadi
ng expert in observational cosmology\, co-leader of the Cosmoverse initiat
ive\, and the principal author of key review papers in this field.\nFollow
ing the colloquium\, we will host a moderated\, 50-minute expert debate di
ving deeper into cosmological anomalies. The debate will feature leading e
xperts from our Warsaw institutes: Prof. Marek Biesiada (NCBJ)\, Prof. Mac
iej Bilicki (CFT PAN)\, Prof. Marek Demiański (FUW)\, who will join Dr. D
i Valentino to discuss the topic.\nThe meeting will conclude with a specia
l session for early-career researchers\, dedicated to short presentations
showcasing the latest research on cosmological data interpretation from ou
 r colleagues across Warsaw's scientific institutes.\nDate\, Time & Venue\n
 \n\nDate: Tuesday\, October 27\, 2026\n\n\nTime: 16:00 CEST (Colloquium st
art)\n\n\nVenue: Faculty of Physics\, University of Warsaw (ul. Pasteura 5
\, Warsaw)\n\n\n \nRegistration\nParticipation is free and open to everyo
ne\, but we kindly ask you to register for organizational purposes (includ
ing coffee break catering and seating capacity). Please register using the
